The Institute of Paleolithic Nutrition
Conceived in 2002, the Institute of Paleolithic Nutrition is a
vehicle to further our understanding of Paleolithic and modern diets and their
effects on human health. Dr. Loren Cordain and his colleagues conduct
groundbreaking research that brings into sharper focus the characteristics and
consequences of prehistoric and contemporary dietary patterns.
Understanding the relationships between nutrition and human physiology and
disease, and maximizing the health and well-being of humankind are the primary goals of the institute. Although lofty, we feel that these goals truly deserve thoughtful, disciplined attention and sustained
scientific effort. Ultimately, this research could dramatically and
beneficially affect the dietary choices and health of people for generations to
come. The Institute relies solely on grants and
endowments from institutions and private individuals. Please contact the
Webmaster to discuss your interest in contributing to this important
research effort.
